Unit 1: 1492-1751

In this unit, we'll explore the native populations who lived in the Americas before Europeans arrived. We'll learn about the first Europeans to see the New World (probably not who you are thinking of) as well as why some countries were more successful than others in settling. North America became a theater of war for European empires during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, which had lasting consequences on North American peoples.
